SIGHTINGS 2023

We roll out this update on Sightings in and around southern Santa Barbara as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival wraps up. This week some of the attendees for the Film Festival included Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenden Fraser, Austin (Elvis) Butler, Kerry Condon, Nina Hoss, Stephanie Hsu, Colin Farrell, and Brendan Gleason.

Montecito’s Jeff Bridges was due to receive his Critics Choice Award from actress Michelle Pheiffer but had to cancel after testing positive for Covid. Later Jeff was reunited with his Big Lebowski pal John Goodman who presented him with the honors at the L.A. ceremony.

Rob Lowe rescued himself after he was trapped in his home after recent storms felled a tree on his property. On Jimmy Kimmel, Lowe shared a video of him using a winch to haul away the tree saying, “It was like I was doing something that I usually do, like a fake thing on 9-1-1.”  Lowe said he had to leave to attend the premiere of his new Netflix film Dog Gone after a day and a half of being trapped with rescuers being unable to get in or out.

Controversial and newly married Kanye West dining at the San Ysidro Ranch’s Stonehouse.  Kevin Costner noshing at Local…Rocker Adam Levine in a pedal cart with daughters at Pierre Lafond. Sean Parker, founder of Napster and first President of Facebook booked out the entire Rosewood Miramar in its entirety for three days. Meghan Markle shopping at Wendy Fosters. And, it doesn’t look like Kanye is going away anytime soon seen noshing at the FisHouse and Behave Prinsloo supermodel wife of Adam Levine scoring a smoothie at Pierre Lafond. Jane Lynch and Kathy Griffin dining at Tre Lune.
